Hello!
Hope you are well! I know its a bit later than my usual newsletter timing but it's just been one of those days! It's a short one today because I'm almost at the end of my workday on a Friday and my brain is pretty fried. Keeping it casual today and talking about something I absolutely love.
My husband and I are big fans of the Netflix show Queer Eye. If you havent seen it yet, make that your mission for this weekend. Trust me, you wont regret it. It is that a feel good show combined with a feeling of having gone to therapy. One of the guys on the show, Tan France, the designer, launched his book: Naturally Tan. We got the audio book and it is amazing, just like Queer eye!
Watching the show (AGAIN) and listening to Tan talking about personal style, fashion has led me to redoing my capsule wardrobe in a way that suits me. If you have clothes that dont fit you, donate them. Don't keep them as a reminder of a time you were a different size (big or small). Keeping clothes that dont fit you or you dont like is like asking to have a bad day whenever you open your closet!
Quote for the week: "Confidence is not ‘they will like me’. Confidence is ‘I’ll be fine if they don’t’."- Anonymous
All that matters is what you think of yourself. We are usually our worst critics. Don't be that person. The day you are confident without needing validation, you will feel the difference.
Book recommendation: The productivity project by Chris Bailey. I read this book a few years back and it was a game changer.
Nearly all of us want to be more productive, but finding the method that works for you among the hundreds and hundreds of different tips, tricks and hacks can be a daunting prospect. After graduating college, Chris Bailey decided to dedicate a whole year to doing just that - experimenting with as many of the techniques as he could, and finding the things that work. In this accessible and fun guide, Chris Bailey offers over 30 tried-and-tested best practices that will help everyone to accomplish more - and become more awesome.
That's all for today. Hope you have an energising and restful weekend! See you next Friday!
